My name is Gloria (I’m the owner of this website) and I wanted to share my “Dream Come True” Passion Pet Store story with you.

Not that I am anyone famous, or even someone that has tons of money to open a regular down town pet business or a big time pet franchise pet store or someone like that.

I am just a pet lover, and they have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. I can’t even remember a time when I didn’t have a cat, dog or even a parakeet & some fish.

Yes, I am a pet lover and I “Got the T-shirt!!!”

Have you ever heard the saying that claims “Do what you love and the money will follow?” What I am about to share with you is exactly that.

Well I believe I have finally found a business system that can do just that for me.
Imagine making my “Passion for Pets” into an easy to operate successful online business. I will be doing a job that I will love doing every day!!!

How cool is that! I’ll be selling great stuff for pets AND absoulutely be “Lovin’ Every Minute” while I’m doing it.

First off let me tell you a little about myself.

I am a self-employed, work at home girl, and live in ,.  I don’t have any children, however, I do have two dogs that I treat like my kids.  Yes, I have to confess I do spoil them a little.  The oldest is a Border Collie named Alex, who is 8 years old and my newest is a Belgium Shepherd named Elzarra. She is only 1 year and a half.

Since they are both high energy breeds, they need to have lots of exercise. Alex likes the hard rubber kongs and absolutely destroys the soft plush toys. I stopped giving them to hom because it look like an explosion of stuffing all over the carpet!

Elzarra’s favorites are the squeaky toys and balls. We play catch every morning. They both also love rawhide chews, but I only give them as a special treat. So I am always buying toys for them. Which I suppose was why I would often dream of owning my own pet store.  I used to spend so much time and money at them. The pet stores I go to are always super busy too, so when I didn’t want to fight the crowds, I started to shop online.

That’s when I found a website called ILUVPETS,  that was literally the answer to my dreams.  ILUVPETS would help me with everything I needed to start my own online pet store. Imagine that, this was the simple way for me to begin doing MY Passion Job!

I Can Now Own My Own Online Pet Store!

I know that there are a lot of people out there and quite a few of them have at least 1 pet. Also, I know from my own personal experience, I will buy stuff for my pet quicker than what I would buy stuff for myself. I love them that much. PERIOD!  And I know that my friends that have dogs & cats, feel the very same way I do. The truth is:

PET LOVERS SPEND MONEY ON THEIR PETS!

So when I was checking out the “ILUVPETS” website to find out how to get started with my own online pet store I learned even more interesting facts.

Yes, I already knew that dogs and cats are the most popular pets, but I didn’t realize that   there are an estimated 16 million birds, and an astonishing 142 million fish being cared for by pet lovers in the United States alone?

Also they report “Americans spend an average of $150.00 a month on their pets.”

And the other night on Nightline, they did a report and said the slow economy hadn’t affected the Pet Industry that much and that people are still buying stuff for their pets.

There was a lady selling pet products at a home party like Tupperware. What a neat idea.

Now I plan to cash in on this awesome opportunity with my own online pet supply store!  Also I can open my own online pet supply store FREE for a limited time!

This is my chance to actually have My Passion Pet Store.

This is just so great, because ILUVPETS will provide everything for me to run a successful online business.

I can’t believe I’ll be getting a FREE  ILUVPETS startup kit in the mail. They didn’t even charge a SETUP FEE, I only had to pay shipping!

I’ll be actually getting my very own prebuilt store, complete with popular pet products in a variety of categories. They will stock all of the products and ship everything for me.

Plus they are going to help me be successful by including an iStore Quickstart Marketing Guide.  I will be up and running and getting money super fast. I am so excited, I can’t wait til my Free Kit arrives. I have already started to tell my friends.

The great thing about an online store is that it remains open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and I won’t have any employees to worry about!

I’ll let you know more as soon as I get started. Unless, of course, I am just so busy with my new Passion Pet Store I don’t have time!

Are you a Pet Lover and maybe interested in doing what you love?  Check it out here.

I need to do some research/analysis into the current market opportunity that exists for a an investment company, where by we find people who need capital to fund their small business, this may be a chef needing cash investment for a cafe, a beautician needing finance for a kit or premisis to set up, or anything really. But how can i assess the need for a business to invest in such companies? Its easy to work out if theres a market for a specific company, you can look at the market, the competitors, the economy etc, but for a company whos purpose is to invest in OTHER start up ventures, this seems more tricky, but I want to write an impressive report which suggests whether, or not, there would be call to start such as company. we put in money, in exchange for equity of each company, and we give the business guidance and support.
Any ideas?

Sounds like you want to be a venture capitalist. It’s risky business but the returns can be incredible. Finding a great investment is definitely difficult. I’m not a venture capitalist so I don’t have any tips, but you might try looking at your state’s website, then following links to commerce or economic development etc and then contacting someone there. The state may have a long list of people trying to get SBA or other loans/capital for their small businesses. The state would be glad to have an investor to match up those requests. Maybe start there and see what you can find out. Good luck!

I just put a question about what people would think of someone who marries young, say 18. Thank you for all your answers, I wanted honesty so appreciate all your replies!

Some replied, that they automatically think it wont work, they married for sex, are religous, would have a traditional marriage and are naive.

I asked because I married at 18 and also started my business at that age. I think we all mature at different ages. I’m lucky to have found my soulmate and after 7 years together we are blissfully happy.

We aren’t traditional at all and certainly not naieve. We aren’t religous and believe in sex before marriage.

Marriage is a big commitment, but more a spiritual commitment.

I’m interested as to why people would thin kit would be more inclined to be traditional?

I’m not critising anyone who answered but I think it’s interesting as all of us do it, it’s human nature, we prejudge and imagine things before we’ve even met someone.
Thank you, I’m not bothered about what peopel think but as I say, the people that know me in ‘real’ life don’t think that way. I just think the human nature is an interesting thing to study.
Hi Helper, in the conversation it was traditional and not a happy one, meaning like the poor wife chained to the sink sort of thing..

Interesting question. I think it is just a case of the majority of people being inclined to have more conservative views about marriage vows and the way it’s all meant to be done.

Plus the media puts out these moral panics that lead people to believe that all ‘young’ns’ that get married are leeching off the government for benefits or just favouring family over education.

People like stability and see those that go against the status quo as a bit of a threat to the survival of society - repelling against the norms of all. I’d say this view is a load of rubbish - it’s just the government ensuring young people stay clear of settling down too early and causing more panic amongst the more mature of society.

I’m not particularly religious - maybe agnostic and I was amazed at the response of shock i recieved when I told my class mates in college that I didn’t believe in marriage - it’s funny how people can’t accept anything that goes a little off what they’ve been taught.

Traditional or no - marriage is marriage and there’s only two in the relationship - so it’s no one else’s business to say how and when to do it :)

I had my starter show Thursday (the 21st) and it was a disaster! I had expected at least a dozen of my friends there, because they had RSVP’ed, however I had a total of 5 people show up. Quite disappointing, especially since I didn’t have ANY outside orders. I wasn’t able to leave the house because my Fiance and I have been sharing a car until mine gets fixed.

SO, on to what I need help with - to get my starter kit I needed to sell $350 in products and book 6 shows. Well, I’m $83 short and still need 1 booking. Is there anyone that can help me meet these goals?

Please don’t post answers that are negative toward the business - saying that it’s a scam, etc. I have all the facts and I really want to do this business. One of my best friends does it as a hobby and makes a lot of extra money. Which is probably part of the reason I am having a hard time getting going - we have some of the same groups of friends.

I also sell PartyLite. I started last year and my friend and I both sold it, so I understand your situation!

Try calling one of your friends who did not show for your party. As her to host a show to help you out. This may add to your bookings. Also, call those who did not attend and ask if they would like to help you by ordering. The catalogs are available on our websites!

Talk to your leader, I have heard of others who have not gotten enough sales at their starter show to purchase their kit, but I think PartyLite was able to work it out.

Remember, your business is only as strong as you make it… Don’t have a car, go meet your neighbors, join a mom’s group!!! Your customers will not come to you, you have to go to them.

Don’t listen to others who say this is a scam. It is not. I am not being forced to do anything and I know exactly what I am doing. Good luck with your new business!

I found this ad on craigslist. I am starting up a home photography business for newborn photography and am looking to buy some equipment. I was going to buy a starter kit with a few umbrella lights and a backdrop stand…etc., but if this is a good deal for some pro equipment, i’ll buy it. Can you tell me what all of this is and each ones function? Are softboxes better worse or equivilent to umbrellas? would this equipment be good for this type of photography (black and white minimalistic, organic, newborn photography)? Are there any items I would have no use for?

Of course I have a DSLR…why would I start a home studio if i’d never touched a camera…

Save yourself some money - learn to see the light and shoot newborns in available light. If you master this it will be a good foundation for learning studio lighting in the future for other purposes, but not for newborns.

Learn to work with windows and reflectors if necessary. I use to do a lot of newborns and would never consider using studio lights with them.

A basic list for newborns should include a good camera/lens with backup equipment, a collapsible reflector, pillows or posers (or parents) for positioning the baby, soft fabrics or blankets for covering props. Many photographers would add a tripod to that list - even though I am a tripod advocate, I do prefer to shoot newborns hand held.

Keep it simple and master seeing and using the light.

I’ve got a couple things of my own, 2 cellphones, and an IPod that I’ve got kits of swarovski crystals for. I handset some 980 crystals onto my IPod and it came out really nice I think. I get compliments on it constantly/ I think it might be something I’ve got the talent and patience for.

I’d like to start up my own little business where I ‘bling’ out people’s things. Cellphones, mp3 players, hairbrushes. There’s a couple companies out there already that do it and they charge hundreds of dollars. I was going to start with a set rate of $100 per reasonable sized device (ie. no laptops) plus the cost of the crystals.

Do I need any sort of licenses or legal stuff to start doing this? I imagine just a contract talking about possible voided warranties and possible crystal loss over time is all I’d need. I don’t know what other sorts of things I need to provide an artistic service. Appreciate any help!

It depends on how serious you want to be. For casual work you can probably do it without a business license, but if you make much money you had better get licensed.

How much is much money? No guarantees but I would say if you make more than $500/month you should get licenses and insured.

If you get sued by someone because they claim you hosed their product you will want an insurance company to cover all the costs.

Also, if you don’t get a business license and you get noticed by your city and/or state they will come after you and want lots of penalties and interest for not filing with them on a monthly basis.

As for a contract talking about possible voided warranties etc. I would do one of those before I did even one sale. You can probably write it yourself, but if you want it iron clad you would need an attorney. Of course, even with an attorney making it that won’t stop someone from suing you if they want to.

Good Luck.

Many of us wants to produce money and invest in home base business, and starting your own business from home would not require you too much money and endeavor. All you have to do is to fill out the forms, devote a little investment money, get your product and create your kit, and you are rolling.

Nevertheless, before starting your work at home business, you should know how to create money by means of this type of industry. Many people wind up frustrated and bankrupt since they got too excited from the publicity and have little understanding on how to generate money with home base business. You should not be so concerned to all those earn big cash ads, since it will get out what you put in.

It is important to consider guidelines and suggestions from those people who have been into Internet marketing for such a long time since they have all the knowledge to inform and warned you that many websites promises you quick money with less work scheme but all of these were fueled by emotions and are designed to take your money.

How do I get free stuff?

Posted by admin on 27/02/10 in start up business kit

I am a budding Digital DJ/KJ. I have recently moved to Ireland from the UK. (sorry !) I used to work for a company in the UK that supplied all the kit. I just turned up and used it. I have a very small collection of MP3s, (about 2000) and about 3000 Karaoke songs. I have some pro kit, and a laptop. I just need to get some things to be able to start making money. i am looking to get sponsorship, some kit on loan, or some freebies like promotional material, e.g, software, hardware, flight case, mics, headphones, lights, etc. Or just things like stickers, keyrings, free business cars, (yes I know you can get them on the net if you pay posatge, so that’s not free is it?) or a trial gig where I can just plug my kit into an existing PA system, or amp and speakers. Please help!

Say the words ‘I claim Aslyum’ , you get a free house, healthcare, food vouchers/money, job training, transport, get to do nothing all day, Pay nothing into the system and take loads out all for free, Welcome to England.

Itâ??s been well-known for decades that TV and radio advertising costs an arm and a leg. Thereâ??s no denying that theyâ??re two of the most powerful media formats used for promotion, but theyâ??re usually, cost wise, outside the limits of most advertising budgets. The same goes for the higher end print ads. Buying space in the more widely read newspapers, even a little space, can set you back a fair amount of money. With all of the above media the exposure your company gets can be fleeting. Your ad may well be aired on TV or radio, but statistically itâ??s been proven that the best response from such promotion only comes after at least three such airings. And that doesnâ??t come cheap.

The Internet offers a far more economical platform from which to launch your ad campaign. Itâ??s equipped with all the bells and lights of TV, radio and print advertising but at a fraction of the cost. The use of video, audio and text is available and the great thing is that once itâ??s up there on the web, itâ??s there for good unless you decide to take it off. This is in stark contrast to the need to re-advertise in the bricks and mortar world.

Many business people are turning to the Internet for their promotions. And with a prospective audience made up of around 1.4 billion people, itâ??s not hard to see why.

The Internet offers advertisers the chance to target a wider potential client bank for a minimal cost.

Thatâ??s why so many businesses are getting online. But just being there isnâ??t enough. The Internet being so vast means that your website mightnâ??t be the first one to come up on search lists unless you make sure it is.

This is usually where many people fall foul of the whole idea of Internet presence and promotion. Realistically any business that forgoes expensive â??real worldâ?? advertising has already made an effective saving. In todayâ??s turbulent financial climate itâ??s prudent to plan your budget efficiently. But in some areas itâ??s really not worth cutting costs. The best place your money can be spent is on professional help getting your business website to be a top ranking one. That way your potential customers will know about you and your services, which is what you want from any ad campaign.
